My name is John Kusters, and I want to be a published fiction writer. I’ve not had anything I’ve written published yet, but I intend to find out how to get there. You are welcome to join me on my quest, give me encouragement when I’m flagging, and criticism when it’s necessary.
I’ve called this blog “Horizons Unknown” to reflect the fact that the path to becoming a published writer is one that is completely unknown to me. Somewhere, out there, there’s a place where I’ve written something that an editor will want to pay me to publish. It’s out there, on a horizon I may not be able to see quite yet, and I don’t know how to get there. But I know that I can, and I know that I will.
Here’s my bio, in ready-to-publish form!
John Kusters has been a teller of tales all his life, and a lover of speculative fiction from the day he could read. He grew up on classic science-fiction and fantasy novels, from Rocket Ship Galileo to A Wizard of Earthsea. He lives in San José, California, with his partner and their precocious dog.
